T'ai Chi - Spring Session

MARKWARD REC CENTER 

Achieve a healthier mind, body, and spirit by practicing this Chinese martial art. This class must be purchased as a season class pass (10 classes). $75 per pass.

Register for Advanced Class (6 p.m.)

(Beginners class or experience required)

Knitting Circle

Tuesdays | 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

(now being held at Trinity Church at 22nd and Spruce) 

The Building Friends in Fitler group, in partnership with the Philadelphia Guild of Handweavers, encourages you to build friendships and perfect your craft at our knitting circle. Bring your own supplies and come meet your knitting neighbors every week!

E-SPORTS CLUB

Wednesdays | 6:00-7:30 p.m.

MARKWARD REC CENTER

New! E-Sports Club for 5-12 year-olds. Come enjoy various Nintendo Switch games in a fun and social setting. This E-Sports Club fosters friendly competition, teamwork, communication, and stress relief. Email MarkwardPlayground@phila.gov to register. Space is limited.

RITTENHOUSE READERS BOOK CLUB

Join a newly created group for fellow Philadelphians looking to connect through our shared interest in reading. This is not your typical book club! Specific books are not assigned and fans of all genres are welcome. Meetings are an hour of individual reading time bookended (ha!) by 30 minutes to mingle and meet your neighbors.

We are excited to announce a weekly farmers market will take place at the north end of Schuylkill River Park, courtesy of Evergreen Events. With 20 years of experience working within the Philadelphia region's local food scene, Evergreen Events has managed over 50 farmers markets collectively, including some of the biggest and most successful markets in the area. Together with the local farmers and producers, they've helped bring tons of freshly grown, artisanal food to communities in and around Philadelphia. Take a stroll by and check out the goods!

Vendor List: Sharrah Orchards, Lost Bread, Settantatre Pasta Company, Nilaa Coffee, Aaji's Coastal Indian Cuisine, Wyncote Farms, and more!

MARKWARD REC CENTER

Get fit and meet others from the neighborhood with our new walking group. The starting point/meeting place will be in Schuylkill River Park at Spruce and 25th Street. We will walk for about one hour along the River Trail.

Thursday Night Bingo is fun and free for the whole family! No registration or cost, just come down to the picnic tables by the tennis courts and grab a board (or head inside the Race Center in bad weather). The lucky winners can choose a prize!
